- Description: Provides one on one volunteer tutoring and small group instruction. Offers literacy assessment. Helps with referral services for adults who want to improve, or learn how to read. Includes writing skills. Offers English Conversation Circle Classes. Located at the Santa Rosa Central Library for ESL students. Provides evening Community Outreach English Classes in Santa Rosa for non-native English Speakers.

- Eligibility: Adults 18 years and older, Native English speakers with low literacy skills and reading level below 6th grade or Non-native English speakers who already have a solid foundation in speaking and understanding English. All students must possess the ability to manage their program and tutoring communication as well as scheduling needs independently and directly with both the literacy office and a tutor. Adults wishing to practice their Conversational English Skills are eligible to attend the weekly English Conversation Circles at the Santa Rosa Central Library or to receive referral information to ESL programs through the Adult Literacy Office.
